Changed autocomplete behavior (21.7.1, Bash 4.3.11, Git install)

Created by: tobyS

For quite some time I wonder if autocomplete behavior was simply changed or if its broken. For both cases, I would love to re-activate the original behavior: When I type $ j pro<tab><tab> I want to see a list of possible completions (about 5 in my case) and be capable to select one. Instead, the following happens right now:

$ j pro<tab>
$ j 'pro__<tab>
$ j 'pro__'<tab>
$ j 'pro__' <return>

The last step jumps to the highest priority match. I cannot find a way to list all possible matches and select one (originally that was possible by appending the number of the match).
