instead of jumping, it prints the directory where to jump

Hello, I have just installed the release-v21.7.9 and installed it. after going around few directories, the database seems to be filled correctly. then when I do an autojump, it just prints the directory where it is supposed to jump, but stays in the same directory. am I missing something? for example:

youssef@g5:~/src/autojump$ j hma
/home/youssef/src/hmax
youssef@g5:~/src/autojump$
