Vim shortcuts in README file not working

Hi, my name is Giovanni and I have a problem: I installed maximum-awesome like in the instructions but the commands written in the README file like ",d", ",t" ecc are not working.

I also followed this guide: https://medium.com/square-corner-blog/fly-vim-first-class-610f1a39b572

And also I have another question: if I want to install other plugins, where I need to write them? in my vimrc.local or directly in the .vimrc?

Thank you very much. Giovanni.
