Control over taskbar icon

I've got two devices attached to a single receiver and I would love to see mice battery status rather than keyboard battery status. It would be awesome if a user could decide what device to show (if it is connected). The fallback 'device picker' could be the first connected device according to receiver index. But I do not have any idea how to solve two or more receivers case. Or maybe Solaar could show status of most discharged device?
