What will happen in your session?
Participants will make their own musical instruments out of everyday objects (for example, a carrot clarinet), learn to play them and finish the workshop with a whole group performance of a piece of music using their instruments.

What is the goal or outcome of your session?
Above and beyond the making of instruments and a performance, we will use digital technology to help measure, tune and test the instruments to help people understand the maths, physics and craftsmanship involved in making musical instruments.
If your session requires additional materials or electronic equipment, please outline your needs.
We'll need things like drills, knives, 3d-printer (for things that require accurate dimensions like mouthpieces), vegetables and so on. The final list of equipment will be finalised once we know we're running a workshop and have practiced making the instruments.
