DynamoRIO fails to read config file while execve system call

From zhao...@google.com on January 29, 2014 21:58:12

simple test program #include <unistd.h> #include <stdio.h> int main() { char *argv[] = { "/usr/bin/python", 0 }; char *envp[] = { "HOME=/home/zhaoqin/", "PATH=/bin:/usr/bin", "USER=zhaoqin", "LOGNAME=zhaoqin", 0}; execve(argv[0], &argv[0], envp); fprintf(stderr, "Oops!\n"); return -1; }

$ gcc test.c -g -o test $ drconfig -reg python -norun $ drrun -debug -msgbox_mask 0xf -- ./test

DR should not follow on python execution as it is registered not run with python, but DR actually attached to python too.
