Add LTE support

Created by: E3V3A

LTE (4G) works very different from both GSM (2G) and UMTS (3G), even though it shares many features of GSM. For historical reasons we did not implemented LTE support, but today LTE is a global and widespread technology even in, and especially in 3rd world countries. We need to support LTE and I have labeled this as a bug, even though it is not (by design). But since so many people are filing issues related to LTE support, we might as well call it a _bug_, so that it get prioritized.
