Excessive output in XML reports

I have run arachni on mutillidae and other vulnerable web app suites and have outputted the information into XML reports, which works great. However, I have noticed that the reports are including some HTML reponse information which quickly causes the reports to head in the direction of unreasonable length. Is there anyway I can prevent Arachni from outputting the massive amounts of HTML reponses in the xml reports? Also, in the HTML responses there seems to be large chunks of seemingly gibberish data that also contribute to this issue.
