Yep. That's why it probably never happens. Humans are too self preserving to go through with it. The danger is if one side decides that self-preservation isn't a priority.

Obviously, but why should they get children when they have more money and freetime? They could just consume more and still get no children, which is mich more likly. You should get significantly less pension when you get no children. That would be a good fix.

Have to remember they are religious. Killing things is part of the tradition. How it’s killed, how it’s prepared is usually part of the name of the dish. Tradition is an obstacle, in other words.
