Traditions are important to keep… when it’s the best way… but when there will be better ways, tradition is a prison that culture can’t escape.

"Menacing show of strength"
No. You don't threaten nukes unless you're heinously weak.

The problem with existential crisis like what Ukraine is facing is it seems to dramatically decrease corruption. If not using these weapons as they were intended and instead selling them to someone else will possibly lead to your death and destruction of your culture you're much less likely to sell them. Sure some absolute scumbags might not give a shit and sell it for short term gain but it's much less likely making that propaganda laughable.

Sorry..... NOT impressed, at all..... russia is a 3rd world country (always has been) and holding drills with nukes NEVER impresses. Why not hold drills with your aircraft carrier? OH YEAH... it's sitting on the bottom at the pier.

> PARIS - Authorities raided the Paris offices of five banks Tuesday on suspicion of tax fraud, French prosecutors said.
> The raids come as part of five preliminary investigations opened in December 2021 on allegations of money laundering and tax fraud linked to dividend payments, the French National Financial Prosecutor's Office said in a statement.
> The raid comes amid global financial turmoil unleashed this month by the collapse of two U.S. banks and the government-orchestrated takeover of troubled Swiss lender Credit Suisse by its rival UBS. ADVERTISEMENT. The French investigation involved "Cum cum" deals in which a foreign shareholder of a company listed in France transfers its shares to a French bank around the time that dividends are paid out to avoid paying capital gains tax.

Lack of sex education and lots of religion and forced marriages are the reason people have more kids in those countries. The lack of education leads people to have kids before they can afford them, and they all end up living in poverty. German couples have sex education so they can plan when to have kids, and they choose not to because they're too expensive and take up too much time.
