I remember an Apple rep came to my company to dissect which country benefits the most from producing an iphone. As in where the money goes. Everyone guessed China but of the countries where an iphone is made, China made the least. It was Germany first, USA, some other country and then China.

The only ones opposing this in Germany are the far left (old romantic socialists - and they are torn even) and the far right AfD (you know what is up with them).

The green party just is ahead of the curve on a lot of issues. That's why Putin and his minions can't stand them.

I think it has more to do with the fact that the Saudis don't see the USA as reliable as an ally. Israel isn't doing well right now either so from their point of view they are left to go against Iran solo in a conflict they wouldn't win. A peace deal may guarantee them survival. This also gives iran room to scale back from proxy wars (Yemen and Syria) and secure the home front with the protests.

> Scientists at Durham University discovered the "Ultramassive" black hole by observing its pull on passing light, called gravitational lensing.

> The academics said the black hole was 30 billion times the size of our Sun and was the first to be measured using gravitational lensing.

> Dr Nightingale told BBC Radio Newcastle: "Even as an astronomer, I find it hard to comprehend how big this thing is."If you look at the night sky and count up all the stars and planets you can see and put them in a single point, it would be a fraction of a percent the size of this black hole.

It's not the only reason. During Covid there were repeated lockdowns in China, and foreign corporations have become more hesitant about relying on Chinese subsidiaries and suppliers in their supply chains. At the same time infrastructure and education in India has dramatically improved, making it a more attractive option. There are still many places with much cheaper labour.

What does racism have to do with that? I am not American and I am against gun violence but here we are. The important thing is the laws that the government enacts.

But kids, women and Russia is mostly what reddit is about currently so you have to understand the circumstances why India is not well seen at least on Reddit.

Doesn't help when the organizers collecting money were a sons of odin leader (white supremacist group) racist truck company owner, and a woman who is politically involved in a separatist party.

If it was any other competent country they wouldve been arrested with a terrorist charge. Ironically, the truckers in Ontario are majority brown, yet you only saw white people there.
