The world changed, there is more and more migration, and the Americans weren't busing them to the border before. It's clearly the conservatives fault..... Stop dragging your knuckles.

I mean this in a good way, not a righty way, because immigrants pay into and want social services that an 2nd, 3rd gen etc., aging population also demands from. Look at Russia which is facing a major problem: old population that is not getting replaced and with war pushing out the Russian young workforce to Kazakhstan or Europe or getting injured or killed in war, they are F’ed. Russians moms rely on what their son makes. Putin has now made bad to worse.

If retirement age is pushed back by two years now, imagine by how much it might be by the time they reach retirement. Better start fighting soonner than later.

In the history of humanity we've only just invented electricity basically yesterday. None of us are leaving any time soon.

No please everyone try to make global migration easier. Trust me it'll be funny seeing how many labor movements are enabled by workers shifting jobs away from their home countries.
If they're gonna do this shit to get around paying their populations/betterment of everyone's lives to increase generations having kids then we should make sure everyone has a better life anyways.

Only if you don't make that much money and are entitled to it. Most germans still have to get private medical insurance.

How so? If anything, I think it's fucking them over least, logically speaking, as pushing back retirement will both a) delay the need for them to support the would be retirees, b) reduce the number of retires who eventually need to be supported, and c) have the would be retirees help pay for the current retirees for a few more years..
Unless unemployment and/youth unemployment is very high in France?

Right. The 20-year-olds now don't have to pay for the retirement of 62- and 63-year-olds for 44 years. And by the time they turn 64 only have 35 years of retirement left. It's an absolute tragedy for them.

I grew up in a red state and live part of my time in a deep red area. Respectfully, they do matter. Before this manufactured culture war bullshit, Trans people, my community, made huge inroads towards public acceptance and equal rights through deep listening and outreach. I like to think that the echoes of that effort remain. The more the culture warriors pull this dangerous, pointless and cruel nonsense, the more independents they lose and the worse their chances of a full takeover get. If you’re a Republican and can’t get above 35% approval of your bullshit in Mississippi or Alabama? You fucked up.
I’m not saying there’s not danger. Obviously I feel it more than most. But it’s also important that we recognize the other side of the culture war: Us dehumanizing everyone who lives in an area we aren’t part of because a map says so. In reality, there are good people everywhere just like there are bigots everywhere, and there are far, far fewer bigots than they would have us believe. That’s important to remember.

It was signed almost a year ago. So again.. why did it take so long to stop?
Also, the original agreement was signed in 2004 and there were zero significant problems until Trudeau took office. Why?

Maybe Germany needs to look at why its population is shrinking. Perhaps wages are too low, hours are too long, and people are just unable or unwilling to start a family due to lack of money and time. Employers need to give people more time and money to live.

According to the EIU index it's trending upwards and ranked 46th. Also other good sources like freedom house ranks India above many countries that V-dem ranks below so I am not that sure of legitimacy of V-Dem index.
