I learned German as an adult (while living in Germany). Duolingo is nice and you should use all the help you can get, but the key to learning the language is first gaining the basic foundations through courses (even the free VHS courses for foreigners are useful) and then talking to people as much as you can. No app can replace that.

It is a difficult language and the learning curve is quite steep, but with focus and dedication anybody can learn it within a reasonable timeframe.

They need to fucking provide some evidence of what happened to these children. What does their life look like in Russia!?

Seriously, fuck Putin for taking these kids and fuck VZ for not demanding more information about where the missing Ukrainian children are. I’m going against the grain here on Reddit by questioning Zelensky - but WTF - he hasn’t shown much concern about these kids scooped up by the other Vlad.

The human traffickers are. They just use worse boats and less diesel, load the boat up with hundreds of people who paid thousands per person to travel 20 miles off shore, barely out of Libya territorial waters, if that, to run out of diesel and be picked up by the 'rescuers' who take them the rest of the way, hundreds of miles, to Italy. The human traffickers do not give a fuck and see the rescuers as a system to use for their benefit.
