We need something like this in the US, but too many people here are convinced of the lie that it's somehow beneficial to them for their employers to pay them breadcrumbs while their executives make more money in a year than they'll ever see in their lives.

Italian here to give some background:

Everything regarding this nonsense is Piantedosi (our intern affairs minister) trying to pulling a dick size contest. He is the absolute worse and it's a disgrace that such a piece of garbage is in charge of such a delicate task, but bashing Italy for this is pretty easy when no further research is done on why the situation is like this:

- Right wing politicans heavily used the immigration problem in theyr campaign to criticize both the left wing and the European Union, contributing to the victory in the last elections

- Italy is currently having an immigration crysis with both the augmented flux of people due to the war coming both from the sea and the balkan route with little to no collaboration coming from both the EU and neighbour Nations

- The recent disaster from Cruto is being wheaponized with theese bullshit laws coming from Italy government, where a Turkey ship came to Italy instead of Greece due to the more aggressive coast guards (go check it out, it's onw of the worst recent events)

Even the recent bash with France where they accepted 240 of our immigrants, but sent back to theyr origin Nations a lot of them contributed in making the Italy situation even harsher

The whole EU is not giving the right justice to this problem. Remember to always check the whole situation before pointing your finger

>an almost resounding "yes"

  1. It wasn't that much resounding, it's just that many votes were thrown away because they were given to parties outside Netanyahu's faction that failed to cross the electoral threshold.
  2. This plan wasn't completely known during the elections, and even some who support the overhaul in principle, are uncomfortable with the aggressive way it's being legislated, without halting for a moment to address the concerns of the other side.

No-no, you're missing the point. It's not safe not because of the invasion. It's not safe because of Nazis in the Ukraine and because of 'homosexual propaganda' of the West and telling children they can change their gender. (Don't ask how that goes together.) Even if Russia pulls out the troops immediately, they will not return the children.

U.S. Is Said to Consider Reinstating Detention of Migrant Families

Biden administration promises to end family Detention

Look I know it's uncomfortable but Credit card Biden is not the great guy people always make him out to be. The original child predator guy, attacking inner-city youth violence as his justification for the 3 strikes law. Since then only 13% of the country is african american but over 30% in jail are african americans and less than 67% have been convicted of anything. Average is a 3 year wait for trial. 50% of all charges are for non violent drug offenses. Amazingly has improved more than I realized but still dystopian.

Just watch his justification to let City bank adjust CC interest rates without notifying the card holder. To like 17% a month. After that the credit card debt crisis which had a back bone in the dot com crash but no one talks about.

I watched this on C-span as a kid. Also when he and Hillary took the floor to tell the American people why the democrats needed to support the Iraq war. Bernie and Warren were the only two members who voted against it.

Bidens cabinet in the senate worked with Republicans to draft the patriot act overnight and pass it. How the hell did they even do that things thicker than my microwave. Staffers have said most of that legislation had already been drafted and was ready for deployment. Hillary voted to refund it everytime while Bernie voted no everytime.

Or the fact that Biden and McConnell were best freinds in the senate and ate lunch together every day. I mean come on.

They were never Trumps border policies when he came into office. He just expanded on them and made him his own. Is Said to Consider Reinstating Detention of Migrant Families which will incarcerate children again. I admit I was mistaken here. Things actually changed since 2020.

Biden and Obama and Trump and Kerry and Bush all took money from that company who built the prisons under the Obama administration. Nobody cares. Unless it supports there view.

I must admit when I learned that the expansion of the border prisons had happened under Obama who had the largest number of deportations that year not to mention imprisoned journalists. I felt sick and lost. I've seen the ice cops out here man just ridiculous. Plain clothes driving Hondas. Just off. Seen those guys handcuffing kids myself.

Republicans suck. These days really suck but if you're just going to give the people in office unchecked unobstructed power when it's your team in office they will take advantage of you. Even if you don't believe it. They are all working for The corporate donor classes interest.

*edit for prison data. *children separation may begin again mistakenly I meant family Detention which still puts kids in jail
