yes we are, most licensed professionals are obligated under emergency and even without compensation in case of national emergency or enactment of one of the emergency clauses, stop thinking labor laws are the same everywhere. also replying to your ignorant ass queries that can easily be learned with a simple google search is really irritating.

There's also a new series from twenty years ago which was trash, and a new series from forty years ago which was trash. Maybe they'll get it right in 2039.

Lots of people are licensed, you aren't entitled to their services either.

the intent of the doctors is questionable. they seem to be doing it just to oppose the government.

There's no right to convenient travel. If a strike doesn't effect people negatively, it would be ineffective.
I've a complicated opinion of unions, but the right to strike is an important one, and the germans should be free to exercise it.

They made it unsafe. They stole the children. They are the problem yet they blame everyone else. Russia will pay.

So, what are your alternatives then? Yes this sucks for a lot of people but seems to be the most effective way workers have.

Except it is and part of it comes from all the subsidies and concessions private health care received from the government on agreement that they would aid the government in implementing policies as such, The protest is from useless mba's not actual doctors. if these assholes go out of business there are more than ample opportunities for doctors to be immediately reemployed. Please don't try to feed us the american health care bullshit.

Actually, it clashes directly with EU law, as did the sea watch ruling. Italy will loose this one in EU court.

Article 98 of UNCLOS: Duty to render assistance, SOLAS article 4, EU OLAF report art 1.5.4.2.
UNCLOS is ratified by all member states, including Italy. TFEU Art 83(2) can be applied as the legal basis for a Directive introducing criminal offenses and imposing criminal sanctions for failure to rescue at sea, as such criminalization. Italy already has the Sea Watch ruling against them (ECLI:EU:C:2022:604).
So yeah, Italy, good luck with that one in court!

>Except that is a deal agreed by both parties.
Yeah, labor requires an employment contract between parties to operate. Buying medical services or goods doesn't.
