I was watching the livestream last night. The team was really excited that the rocket,

A. Hit Maximum Dynamic Pressure (Max Q)

B. Survived Max Q

C. Performed stage separation.

The second stage engine failed after like a second and a half, and that was that.

Just for comparison

SpaceX first launch: Corrosion due to sea spray caused the rocket to fail

2nd Launch: Fuel sloshing caused the second stage to fail

3rd. Launch: Residual thrust from the first stage caused it to hit the second after separation, leading to loss of vehicle.

4th: Success.

Rockets are hard.

> The world's first 3D-printed rocket launched successfully on Wednesday, marking a step forward for the California company behind the innovative spacecraft, though it failed to reach orbit.

> Had Terran 1 reached low Earth orbit, it would have been the first privately-funded vehicle using methane fuel to do so on its first try, according to Relativity.

> Terran 1 was not carrying a payload for its first flight, but the rocket will eventually be capable of putting up to 1,250 kilograms into low Earth orbit.

Whenever the State Department sets their cap for annual refugees, they earmark 50% or more of the Latin American applicants just for Cuba. This to ensure that they can be used as a Cold War talking point and that the majority of refugees fleeing from US backed states like Honduras, Guatemala or El Salvador don't come in such large numbers to influence US anti-communist foreign policy goals even though these countries have around 600,000 people trying to escape from these narco-states.

My personal theory is that Cuba’s economy would be as strong or stronger than China (per capita, of course) if it weren’t for the embargo. Cubans have a very high level of university education attainment, even higher than the USA, and much higher than China. With solid tourism and good access to the US markets, Cuba could have been an economic powerhouse.
