Lots to be gained, he has favourable public opinion, and that in turn influences the people who give Ukraine aid, if you can get the arms to take 3 steps forward by taking one step back then it's worth it.

You should look at what other African countries do to other African countries or how China and Russia are emerging neo-colonial powers in the region.
The only reason France is more hated than the rest is because of history.
But the irony isn't that Africans are fighting to free themselves from outside influence.... it's that they're selling themselves to another opressor and painting it as some sort of justice.

Getting out of Ukraine should not even be part of the compromise. Russia getting out of Ukraine should be the default starting point for anything, then the peace talks can begin and we can get into negotiations about their reparations for damage done to Ukraine.

Obviously not or there wouldn't have been this revised deal.

Supplying more ammunition and weapons isn’t making the situation better for anyone except those who benefit from the money. Ultimately wars are not good for anyone else. People with fixed mindset are scary and incorrigible. I rest my case.

Ah as I suspect it’s average annual cost. But that’s to be expected: the us was fighting the taliban in Afghanistan, whereas for Ukraine the us is supplying them to fight a modern (ish) military of a nation state. The Taliban didn’t even have planes.

Viewed from Western Europe, the reputation of the republicans has been ruined because of Trump. And we dont understand why so many republicans feel compelled to try to be like him i/o to stay "reasonable". We believe that democrats share values with which we can adherate.

That issue was addressed in the agreement Boris Johnson signed.

The only compromise on the table is Russia getting out of whole Ukraine (Including Crimea and eastern parts) and maybe sanctions / relations with Russia can be normalized in in a decade.
