Unfortunately it is likely that was an unfounded rumor.

China is dozens of steps ahead of Russia. I’ve tried to look up what Russia is actively investing in, and outside of a lot of broken vaccine promises, they haven’t done much except have talks with leaders.
Lumping Russia into African geopolitics is in and of itself Russian PR because they’ve done very little

Yeah, it could. I’ve heard (from Perun) how misleading figures of military aid can be. Basically, many countries report what the price of what they’re donating would be new, others what it will cost to replace the equipment (ie inflating it), whereas others report what it actually sells for in used condition.

It's only talking about US military spent amount, which is a portion to what you're referring to. $46.6 billion in Ukraine vs $43.4 billion in Afghanistan.

Thank you for repeating slowly. I read your comment very slowly. There are always 2 sides to an argument. Just saying it loudly and in unison doesn’t make it different. When governments communicate we get to hear 1% of the real communication. Can any rational being base their opinions on that little information? No. That’s why we can draw no solid conclusions unless we know both sides of the story. Denial doesn’t make it go away. What you are saying can also be classified as propaganda.

Aus. and The US (and others) share intel all the time, we are part of the Five Eyes Alliance, NSA/CIA/FBI are hooked into our communications just like their homeland, etc.

Its the type of city you hold to buy time, not to win. If its clear holding will be too risky then they'll have to just pull back and repeat elsewhere.

Didn't UA just do a counter attack to the north with few batallions?
Losing Bakhmut would mean very little, Russians failed to drive UA reserves in that direction and thet lost thousands of soldiers in taking it. UA did the US's Vietnam for the Russians there.

Worse, we're at Level One. We're just now barely beginning to feel the effects.

Let me repeat it slowly for you. Ukraine is doing nothing else than defending itself from Russian aggression. There is no "both sides" argument here. If you get robbed on the street, it isn't your fault just because you had a wallet with you. That kind of thinking is completely insane. And yes, it is textbook propaganda. The same kind nazi germany used to justify its attack on czecho-slovakia back then, for example.
