I'm going to back you up on this. Many people, including myself, are impressed with the US intelligence capabilities. Make no mistake, though. The minute it doesn't serve US interests to be forthcoming with intel, they won't be. Also, are the people coming out and saying "Well I've liked how they handled Ukraine," and also looking to other aspects of the US government? Judging the US credibility and good intent solely on Ukraine seems short-sighted.
I have one question to people. If China were to somehow put together a peace plan that would somehow end the war, completely without the US being involved, how would the US take that? What if China is able to sort of pose the west as an aggressor in the war at the same time?
I'm not hating. I'm not demanding change. I know what it is. It's about national interests and national interests alone. It's not about doing the right thing, although it's nice when the two line up, but they dont always, and I think we all get that. It's geopolitics.

You write that
"Additionally (And importantly), France pays interest on deposits by member countries, and at a fixed 0.7% rate, even when actual interest rates on the market were negative. This is a net loss of money for France."

That is a deliberate manipulation from your side, interest rates are usually higher than 0.7%. Most of the time it is not a net loss for France but a net gain. Negative interest rates happen far more rarely than positive interest rate. Currently French long term interest rates is at 2.69%.
And then you have the value of someone depositing money in your bank instead of theirs which gives a higher amount of deposits.
Since you are so obviously manipulating in that comment, one must assume that your whole text is nothing but manipulation and lies.

>My entire point is that NO ONE should be living this high consumption lifestyle, but your point is that EVERYONE should.
Then you should complain about the west having X airports already instead of complaining about India building 80 more.
>Your way, everyone dies.
No, maybe we fuck up the environment very badly but we'll find a way to live. We're tenacious fucks.
>Also, you don't seem to understand that even green growth is an ecological disaster.
So you are indeed advocating for developing countries to stop developing. Sorry but not going to happen. Climate change is important but secondary compared to growth.
Obviously you are right in the sense that if tomorrow everyone stops living high maintenance life then the earth would be much better off but developing nations are simply not going to stop developing.

"I'm gonna hide this tape when I'm finished. If none of us make it, at least there'll be some kind of record. The storm's been hitting us hard now for 48 hours. We still have nothing to go on.
[Briefly turns off tape recorder and takes a drink of whisky. He looks at the torn long johns and turns it back on]
One other thing: I think it rips through your clothes when it takes you over. Windows found some shredded long johns, but the nametag was missing. They could be anybody's. Nobody... nobody trusts anybody now, and we're all very tired.

I'm aware of drones being used for reconnaissance and after some searching I found an article that mentions using 3 drones as part of a SEAD/strike package to get enemy SAMs to light up. Is that what you are referring to?

> If the relationships were that mutually beneficial there’d be no reason for them to look to Russia or China after all that time.
The relationships aren't mutally beneficial anymore. One of the major reasons is that the public opinion in France (and by extension the French government) has become much more sensitive to issues of corruption and sustainable development. There were many awful things that French companies and African elites did in the past that went with the blessing of the French government. Some African regimes miss that blessed period and just want a "protector" which would fund their lavish lifestyles and help them keep the power, but without imposing their ethics. That's why they don't go with Germany either, or Japan, even though Germany has no recent history with Africa and Japan never had, and both would be ideal candidates as healthier alternatives to France and the UK.
