Reply to Pakistan hospitals short on insulin, essential drugs as financial crisis hits healthcare system by WhoIsJolyonWest
When reading this I didn't have a good grasp of how the financial crisis can affect a health care system, I found an interesting article that stated the following...
"The economic crisis has reduced the available hospitals’ funds, including reimbursement rates, donations, and income (Greece and the US). Moreover, hospitals’ patient care losses increased due to the reduction in ambulatory care and elective surgeries. Furthermore income from non-patient care activities decreased after the economic crisis. All these factors increased out-of-pocket and informal payments. Policies and measures such as hospitals closure, admission of fewer patients with acute conditions by hospitals, limiting drug prescription, and patients being forced to supply consumables and drugs from outside the hospital have led to an indirect increase in patients’ financial burden."

Somehow it never occurred to me that underwater drones were a possibility even as I’ve literally watched underwater robots do things.
Probably a hell of a lot easier to build and don’t have nearly the same weight challenges as it doesn’t have to, you know, fly.

Luckily for us most people are the underclass. The underclass having their things taken away is much more likely than the upperclass having their things taken away. This, unlike fossil fuels or COVID mutations, is solvable.

The reindeer are free roaming. There are no barns. The closest you get is some fenced areas they will herd the reindeer in during slaughter season.
Edit: They can use those million Euros to get rid of their wind turbine junk

Because I feel no need to be polite to people who consider other groups of people less human than I do, consider planet scale phenomena to be trivialities, and consider everyone else to be guilty of the heinous misdeeds they perpetrate. My arrogance will not change facts. My conceit will not change the fact that one side tends to prioritize logic, fact, and compassion. I have no patience, and honestly no sympathy, for a group of people who deny science and humanity on a daily basis and then have the gall to call me condescending. Their every remark is how they know better than the experts. They use condescension like other artists use oils. They constantly point out which groups are coming for them because they’re so jealous and threatened by how great they are. If it’s unclear, I’m talking about the right. Condescending enough for you?

If china sanctions Russia and sides with the west it would be a huge blow to chinas CCP leadership. It would signal/confirm US is in charge which is exactly what they are trying to change. And it would loosen the grip they hold on Asia.
Also Russia could get by, maybe not as long, with the help of India, Iran, North Korea, some African nations. Some South American countries.
So don’t hold your breath for that resolution.
China jumped on the Russian bandwagon thinking they were going to be global disrupters by use of force and coercion to regain global power status identical to US. It’s back firing. Now they are trying to save face and pretend they are in control. When really they never were and just thought Russia would hold up its end of the bargain.

Increasing the percentage of renewables is great but it isn't enough considering China is focused on high GDP growth.
If the economy grows so fast that they still need to add massive amounts of coal to meet their goals, we're still fucked.

Well I liked it. I guess I tune most those threats out by now, so I don't check the board much.
Was there a new threat today or is it still at 0?

Never. There are very little excuses for war.

That’s been disproven by comparing water samples before and after windmills were put near rivers
