As a non western person this brings to light to me how much political dialogue is influenced by “winning parties “
I never knew the extent of what Obama (and now Biden) did.

HongKongese are Cantonese people, not Chinese!
Do not let CCP propaganda fool you, Cantonese culture is rich, unique, and separate from Chinese.
The Cantonese people have their own language, customs, and food.
For example, the Cantonese are very well known for soup making, and eating exotic foods such as shark fin and rhino horns.

Russia is also a large country to cover. They will now have to decide which front they want to patrol.

Do you want the collapse of every moderately disadvantaged nation? The population drain is real and only adds to growing inequality between nations. Supporting development in other nations through aid is the key, not sucking out their best.

The republicans love affair with Russia and detestation for China has always been a mindfuck for me. It’s clear that republicans support anti-democratic values and minimal human rights, so why not love both countries?

Eh. You realize there are 44 or more active volcanoes so ... earthquakes are frequently felt... plate tectonics et al... just the big ones that do damage we are told about.

The reality is indeed tragic, a civil war over existing ethnic and religious divides, exploited by Iran, and then exploited by Saudi Arabia as an extension of the conflict between Iran and KSA.
The Yemeni people are definitely the ones losing.

Yes. African countries are all stupid. That’s why they don’t see how the IMF‘s and WorldBank offerings are great but the Chinese investment offerings are terrible. If only they could see how China will do the exact same thing we’ve been doing for hundreds of years.

Yeah, another way to put it is they backed friendly movements and regimes that were even more brutal and oppressive then the ones they replaced. Decades later the results speak for themselves.
