Its funny because the problem in world war 2 was that everyone assumed they should learn the lessons of world war 1 and prevent conflict via compromise when actually it was a different situation. Now people are doing the same and wrongly assume that this is like world war 2 and that no compromise should ever be made when actually this is again a different situation to world war 2 .

Well given how we the US handled COVID, I'm sure it will wipe us all out whenever it happens.

What possible benefits would African nations see by cutting off all ties with Europe? Sounds like a knee-jerk reaction that would ultimately hurt Africa rather than help it.

So the Paris Agreement means targets for different countries at different times.
The agreement was that everyone would scale back but advanced economies that already benefitted from cheap dirty energy would stop sooner.
China target under the Paris Agreement was peak CO2 emissions 2030 then cutting down afterwards to be carbon neutral in 2060. China revised to be peak 2025 (they only seem to set publicly once on target) and agreement not to build coal power stations outside China.
So whilst we can agree it's bad news, it is still within the agreement.

If you hit the 'i' icon on that picture, it tells you this is just a picture of the airbase (where this plane was stationed). It does not show the plane itself

The Ukrainians have had some pretty good luck with drones vs the Russian navy.
Not a uav, but a drone none the less.
