She far China exports weapons to a few Asian countries.
Not sure they really want Russia on that list.

With zero prejudice against the people, their country, or their culture, I believe they should not be let into the EU. It is not in their interest to ignore the lack of democracy or level of corruption. I've been there twice and found the people wonderful and the country beautiful. But too many countries have already been let in who were not ready, with bad effects on their economies, and the enshrining of values that are not European, not to mention the serious brain drain that resulted. I am fluent in their language and I know they should be considered a part of Europe, but EU membership is another matter. I believe the same for all other countries moving towards membership. Serbia is a special case. Vučić je playing the EU for fools and is not sincere about joining. He just wants the rest of us to play nice with him.

Oh he definitely has those, he just wants to be the one top and is going to do everything he can to not help Putin. He is probably more thinking about how he can take over Russia when Putin is gone.

Yeah, it's actually a wonderful tool to describe to less well versed individuals just how (non-) harmful nuclear power is.

The Ukrainian pilots are still training to fly them. That’s why they are not being sent now. Also, F16s don’t cost 60m. Try half that, or even less for used ones.

> If several states broke apart from the US, there would be a strong following of people who believe the US deserves to reclaim and reunite and that should be a political goal.
And, coincidentally enough, this actually happened, and Americans call it "The Civil War."
You're right. This is what's so discouraging--the Russians' "claim" to Ukraine is juuuust plausible enough, historically, for many people there to be won over by Putin's rhetoric. Add to that claims of "persecution of Russians" in eastern Ukraine, "Nazis" in the Ukrainian leadership who want to destroy Russia, and the general anti-Western and anti-NATO paranoia that there's always been....well, that's all very tough to try to argue against.

That's simply untrue. Belarus media under full state control and has same level of propaganda as russia. Main protests take only two months - August and September 2021 - just after results of fake elections were published. Peacful protest were supressed just by internal forces of Belarus with cruelty, many people vanished and many more told stories about beatings and tortures by militia and KGB, russian rosgvardiya forces were concetrated near the border and ready to enter Belarus but never did.

Military state means it's run by it's military. They enforce the laws , control media, exact conscription and supress protests.

What's sad here is that any of Russia's allies think Russia is listening to them. At best they're viewing it as, 'polite suggestions '. Russia will always believe it's the big boy leader in whatever international bloc they're a part of.
