Yeah it's got a lame vibe. I prefer Dupont Market for some pretty solid sandwiches made to order

Foxtrot is a chain but has a few locations that I think are worth mentioning. Dent Place Market in Georgetown is also great!

Argyle Market in Mt. Pleasant has great sandwiches. Meatball or Hot Turkey and you’re good to go.

So's your mom on Columbia in Adam's Morgan has amazing sandwiches and a variety of coffee varieties in bulk, so you can buy as little or as much as you'd like. They also have European cookies + Chemex

YES! This was my go to for both late night Ben & Jerry's as well as bulk spices of all sorts for incredibly cheap options. I miss living by that place :(

Personally I try to avoid all of those places, yeah.
Being informed of how a company treats its employees isn't a bad thing. You can still shop there if you'd like. No one is telling you not to.

Good idea adding an even number, keeping the provisions odd.

sorry, my wording was confusing. He is pro-rating rent for the two weeks that the major construction is taking place, but not offering anything in terms of alternate accommodations (so far). Is it sort of an either or thing? I get either pro rated rent or alternative accommodations? my pro-rated rent comes out to be around 70ish a day, which is impossible ti find a long term stay at that price. I guess what I'm looking for is something to be able to point to, to be like "hey, you gotta help us out"

Have you spoken to your landlord about pro-rating your rent? You're going to want to have that conversation before speaking to OTA.

Stachowski has some interesting sandwiches and prepared food. Meat prices are obscene though, I'd stick to Costco for meat.
