Also, thinking on it, when I've been socializing lately, it's generally been with friends, at my place or theirs, and we're usually ordering in or doing cooking/cookout, etc. If that's what's going on with u/UmbralRaptor, that's a cost that might be in their grocery budget.

Yea, application fees should really only cover a background check (which is pretty cheap).

The issue wasn't lead contamination in water it was because people used leaded gasoline and lead in household paints in the 1970s. DC still has 1200+ sections of lead service lines. Generally, they don't result in lead contamination. A study was released that stated that, obviously, the risk of contamination is higher than a different pipe material.
I think lead contamination, while a contributing factor to neurological damage, is more of a red herring when it comes to behavioral issues of juveniles. Otherwise we would see a correlation with juvenile crime and lead exposure.

Thumbtack. I moved just over a year ago and found painters, floor installers, and my inspector on Thumbtack. Reviews are posted and those contractors I selected did great work at reasonable rates.

True. Just pointing out that one needs to keep the shit-sniffer running 24/7, no matter how safe the circumstances seem. It is not uncommon for even the largest, most established property managers to accept multiple non-refundable app fees even though they really only consider one app!

Yea, I didn't make that assertion - but the data does go over a much larger number of years even if it is extremely sparse and certainly it is some data...even with your numbers that would still show a change (though I feel like the real numbers were like 165-185 but it's been a long time since I looked).

I’m an elder Gen Z I guess; born at the end of 96. The ones born after 2006 are all of a different breed. It’s the rapid pace of technological advancement every decade imo. These dumb rectangles we’ve had since 2007 made a dent. I barely escaped college without having to deal with Covid having graduated in 2019, and that’s definitely had an impact as well.

OP idk how everyone else is so low but we also spend about 800/mo on food for two people. Shopping primarily at Safeway, WF only for specific items. Between breakfast lunch and dinner 7 days a week we are struggling to keep costs down. Maybe we need to hike to Aldi too!

I bought a GoPro for an upcoming trip and it's really cool, although I'm frustrated with the settings. I can't seem to get the beautiful, crisp footage that others do, and every time I try to ask for help on r/gopro I get either ignored or told to watch tutorials. I'm kinda pissed that a $500 device isn't working properly and no one is willing to help me out.

You might have skipped over that I also eat out decently often. Take out probably totals another $160-200 per month but a cost I can cut easily, a luxury. My Costco costs are maybe another $200 quarterly but still very possible without.
I was making 35k helping out people making under 17k do this up until a few years ago. This is not impossible to do. In fact, I do this without any coupons or deal searching. I use the member cards at Giant and HT, maybe a split decision at the store for the sale cuts or something but I could make this maybe $30 a week if I really got into it.
Just buy in season, in bulk if possible, know what things cost, have meals planned and eat with a purpose. I don't buy chips and soda and premade stuffs. I get treats for my partner all the time but I'm not one to snack. I try to eat healthy, I'm actually trying to lose weight believe it or not. It's just about the set up.

It was down in the low 100s like ten years ago.

You can get inspection before license/registration - you just run through the center in SW and pay when you visit dmv. The go to any dmv center with all your docs and it should be pretty quick. They’ve improved a ton in the past ten years or so. I last went to Georgetown and there was no wait (weekday afternoon)

I know in prince william county there is a way to see who is requesting the most permits in the line of work you’re seeking. That’s how a customer found me and told me that. And that may be a good way to see who is a good candidate.

No it isn’t. It’s really only two years. Does it matter if it was under 200 if it was 197 a bunch of those years? This is not informative data AT ALL. Sure, the data does exist, but the assertion that this meaningless statement (which doesn’t provide the data) stops any debate is fucking ludicrous.

Probably 30% Giant, 30% WF, 30% TJs, 10% Safeway

That seems like a much lower percentage. Scams are numbers and doing it all online is way easier, not to mention the very low numbers of places one could even accomplish that, but yea, people gonna peep.

It took a few years to solve that issue, I dated someone who worked there so I got to hear the gossip but it has been years since she transferred to another location.

It was not 197 in a bunch of those years.
