Nope. I hate it when people say that. But I’m not allowing fear to cloud my love of the city.

Also since all bars have to also technically be a restaurant, you get WAY more people bringing their kids to what is very clearly an adult environment and that gets annoying fast. Some places have a no kids after a certain time policy, but not many, and even the ones that do often don't enforce it.

Damnit, just bought lunch from there last week. Didn’t eat inside though, reeked of urine.

Yeah I went to several of the paid events when I came to DC. They vary wildly in quality, and after going to a few of them, they all feel pretty superficial. I wouldn't go to any of them over 30/40 dollars.

That's where I got stuck. I read it four times, sure that I must have misunderstood.

I’m uninformed to cite an obscure antitrust lawsuit regarding rent increases nationally? Sure thing. You can just argue on the merits, but this is Reddit I suppose.

Meh, you sound uninformed. DC is seeing negative rent growth. I know it’s a forbidden neighborhood but look at the pricing in NoMa compared to what this city is used to. And this is with 3-4 more buildings opening up this summer. More housing ftw

The one by the White House on 17th Street is becoming homeless zombieland. Very sketch. The White House office building (New Executive Office Building) that faced it even shut down that entrance since there were homeless sleeping on benches all on that block.

Have you considered Watts Branch Creek? Seriously though, the last time I moved, I paid the movers a couple hundred bucks to get rid of a bunch of stuff. They said it was going to Ft. Totten, but I’m guessing it didn’t.

“During a digital town hall attended by 300 participants to discuss controversies surrounding Newman”
Imagine getting to a point where 300 people think it’s a good use of their time to talk about you. That takes a spectacular lack of introspection.
