They're open, but you have to do a 1.5-hour intro class first, and there aren't any on the schedule. You are then limited to two four-hour blocks per month, although the FabLab website does not seem to offer any option to actually schedule those.

Arlington Public Library will print it for you for the cost of the filament (PLA @ 5¢/gram) but your job goes in a queue with all the other requests they have pending.

It really is not.

It’s open if you have a dog and a dog pass, but you can’t just show up and walk through there.

I’ve grown to find that place really annoying, I would love to walk around in there and you can’t.

I got tossed out one day last year when it was snowing hard, and people were all in there walking their dogs and whatnot, so I just strolled in only to be confronted by a security guard.

You won’t find much peace in June, it’s peak season for field trips from the schools around the country. Hint, they take red eye flights because they are the cheapest and are so excited, nobody gets any shuteye on the way in.

Dude, you can’t dismiss 16 years of both declining cop counts and murders because “muh, crack in the 1990s”, yet then think 2 years during Covid when murders were increasing nationally( and is now declining) is “finally” indicative of DCs declining cop counts showing up in the murder rate?

You can’t possibly be that daft. Or you must be a cop, and not a bright one at that.

Cheers mate, go on believing DC isn’t the most policied city in America.

I don’t know about this far in advance, but I hear about much of those things on DCist, which is a local news blog. It’s also a good way to find out about cool stuff going on in the district while you’re visiting. Hope you have a nice visit.
