I don't acknowledge that at all since you haven't proven it. Try posting number of murders per year with number officers per year if you want to show a correlation.

Sounds like you will be forced to steal your car back like some bad 80s comedy.

Whenever you decide to go, bring water, snacks, sunblock, hat, dress in layers and wear your comfy shoes. Take the metro or the bus. Be prepared to walk a lot, and remember that downtown is pretty much a dead zone on weekends so don’t expect a convenient bathroom. Protests are just the gathering of a few hundred like-minded people who all feel strongly about an issue. The best protests are like a big ole block party, and since you said you’re new here, familiarize yourself with go-go music: junkyard, backyard, and rare essence to start.

I don’t work in the system, but I have friends who do. Whether or not cops are supposed to show up to court doesn’t mean they do. My point isn’t to say that the system is working (it’s not). My point is that blame falls on everyone, not just prosecutors and judges.

No it doesn’t. Full stop. Also, quit moving the goal lines. You’ve lost this argument, admit it like an adult and move on. DC is the most overpoliced City in the nation despite adjacent LE agencies taking enormous responsibility from MPD

It took me 2+ hours to deplane, sit in the mobile lounge and get through customs when I came in through Dulles in December (not during Christmas) without global entry.

Cops are required to show up for court and get paid ot for it, so that’s not even a thing

Not tracking it would be justification for not responding to FOIA, I suspect? And there have been no consequences for failing to respond to FOIAs. Again, this is not just a Graves issue, this has been true of every USAO appointed by every President, to my knowledge.
However Congress did get her a few numbers one time, as kind of a snapshot. Since they have oversight over DOJ, that would be good info to have. The DA in LA was recalled. Does the USAO prosecute more or less cases than that DA? Who knows???!

It’s amazing that those agencies have literally nothing else to do but traffic. A park, capitol, or secret service officer will very regularly go an entire shift without one call for service.

Well in this case the escalating staffing issues resulted in an increased (i.e. over doubling of the) murder rate…so maybe we should listen to them?
Also some user posted an analysis awhile back about how DC will always need more police officers per capita than other cities because they have to staff more protests, protect more soft targets, etc.

If I haven’t said it enough, I will say it again: put an AirTag in your car. If evidence takes 66 days to process, it is unlikely you will catch the criminals for months. If you have a tracking device in your car, police have a solid lead on where the criminals went, and the police can follow the lead to get the criminals.
Note: Hide the tag somewhere extremely hard to find and/or get to. Perhaps a nook inside of your trunk. These criminals are creative but we can beat them.

It's kind of amazing how for example I see Park Police, Secret Service and other agencies pulling cars over for traffic violations than I do MPD. And it's not like MPD isn't there, the violations happen right in front of their cruisers but they just sit there and do nothing.

Or use modern technology to do the cop’s work for them (locating your stolen, expensive investment) and actually seeing a result.
