Tonights game has had higher prices than average for a while (season ticket holder here). I would assume because they are having special ceremonies for Black History Month and are wearing special warmup jerseys. Also caps tickets have always been more expensive than other dc teams even though they are on a losing streak. Ticketmaster is the approved selling platform for caps season ticket holder so a lot less risk in buying in secondary market.

Yes, let me backtrack and say that I'm wrong. pGI is a suggestion I can't top for OP.

OP didn't ask for good food, good service, good value but a certain vibe. While PGI won't have the traditional porcelain jars or the paintings or printed plates, they have an old school attitude with the waiters who are a bit sassy and FOBish, big large plates of food, the "Cartwright!!!" type of late 80s to mid 90s style

Google and will see articles as well as Council hearings on this fine mess. Council Members tippy-toed around Gambet cause they all know it was rigged and who's family/cronies benefited from a no-bid contract would lash back: Councilmember’s cousin listed as CEO of company for contract https://apnews.com/article/83e5a28771db42c490f49428947da4ed

Our government gets fleeced all the damn time, and often by those connected to corrupt officials. Even crazy shit like contractors owning DC data that has PII and financial records (contracting officials asleep at the wheel or corrupt). The Director Beth Bresnahan (sp?) resigned "for personal reasons"....nah....ya dun F'd up!

The wildest thing was seeing people line up outside Capital One Arena to bet in person, cause the app was just terrible.

Please don't forget that it's a very small, violent percentage of all of the teen agers that commit this heinous acts. Laws should be adjusted to remove them from society.

There are so many good kids out here. The bad ones scare the shit out of people, understandably. Please don't lump them all together.

If there’s a university that you want to support I’d look at that. My schools alumni association administers a few scholarships, and underrepresented backgrounds are targets for at least one of them.

Otherwise I’d look at the local STEM magnet schools and reach out about a scholarship fund to give to.

At my work (Farragut North) parking is $20 per day in the garage. No weekly or monthly discounts. This is why I don't drive to work.

The 19% of cases not prosecuted due to lack of evidence doesn’t really have anything to do with diversion program efficacy though? It’s an interesting aside question but it’s just that, a question without any context. Is that high? How has that number changed and why? Who knows!

Diversion program effectiveness is a fair thing to question. Giving an anecdotal story about one youth who committed an offense while part of a diversion program and then rambling on about random statistics you got from an information request sure isn’t an effective or persuasive argument about the need for such.

It’s just not a good piece.
