It’s for sure a feature Apple has added

It only goes off if a another AirTag is close to your device for a certain number of hours or while driving or something

Apple added it because AirTags were immediately being used to track and stalk people

Your submission appears to be asking about parking.

Your first resources are available here and here.

Unless you are in a residential area of the city, there is no such thing as reliably free and easy long-term parking. Please read parking signs carefully, even locals get confused sometimes.

Useful apps for parking include ParkMobile for street parking and SpotHero for garage spaces.

Visiting a friend in the city? Ask them for a free visitor parking pass from any MPD station.

Did you receive a ticket? Are you guilty? If so, pay it. Pictures and incorrect information doesn't matter.

I also had no idea this existed, and it's interesting to me, too! I don't think that obviates the need for questions to raise above the "can I get an answer via quick google search?" threshold.

That’s fair. I prefer Blue Bottle, but sometimes don’t have time to walk the extra bit.

I love Yellow. I don’t think I’ve had something from there that didn’t absolutely slap. Baklava croissant? C’mon! My bill always seems to be $2 or $3 dollars more than elsewhere, but it is def fantastic.

My PhD is in a social science. I knew what the prospects were going in sorta. I say sorta because the choice to get a PhD wasn’t entirely based on the job market - it was based on actual interest and I knew I wasn’t going to be paying for it. But it’s still a bit disappointing when going about looking for work or seeing these salaries.

I saw a few positions targeting just masters level experience and explicitly stated they won’t hire a PhD. At the same time I saw phds hiding their phds to get work. 😩

i'm not rich, my boyfriend is :') so idk how to respond to this sarcasm, because 1) yes georgetown is pretty stupidly affluent 2) it's awkward to live here as someone who formerly lived in a shack with no toilet and 3) maybe I shouldn't even reply because idk what this discourse is doing to help anyone at all but I don't blame you for making jokes

no i'm just kind of an idiot from a small canadian town where both gunshots (hunters, people in the woods shooting at trees because ??) and fireworks (constantly picking the remains up on my walks when i'm there) are heard at weird hours and I can never tell the difference there and probably won't here unless it's super close by or I can see it

sorry!
