I thought online sports betting wasn't legal in MD? Why can't you place the bet from D.C.? (I thought it was legal here?)

The offshore betting sites (I wont name them b/c it's prob against the rules) allow you to bet from anywhere, if you're not opposed to using a bookie that sends you your checks from Singapore/Malaysia/Hong Kong lol.

Okay, you’ve convinced me. I think it was just poor timing on handing me the meal and then saying ‘relocate.’ I walk back my statement. My intention wasn’t to stay long, but they didn’t know I wasn’t a camper for the day. Thanks!

Don't gamble on sports - travel to Anacostia and gamble with your life!

Just relax, it's not the end of the world. You're not an *ssh*l* for thinking what you do. I applaud them for wanting to maintain the bistro vibe. In Europe, it's refreshing to see people actually relaxing, and engaged with each other instead of staring at screens, and frankly, it's nice that they're working to create that type of feel. There are plenty of places you can go, plug in, and camp out.

I really appreciate it. I fully support work from home, but people do tend to take over cafes with their work. I hate listening to someone’s Zoom meeting while I’m trying to vibe; I go to cafes to escape. The holding pen for people who want the cafe to be their office is hilarious though.
There’s plenty of other options to work in. Thanks for providing a cafe recommendation for me to check out!
Edit: Looked them up. “The Study” area is great! It allows all the people wanting to work from a cafe to do so together.

It seems pretty reasonable to me. They don’t want their tables to be totally full of remote workers or students who don’t leave any room for customer churn.

I'm guessing you are using a site/app on your phone but you could also go to the bookies by Nats Park/Adui Field or by Capital One Arena

Using a VPN isn't going to cut it; the apps will detect it and stop you from placing a wager, and might even lock your account for trying it.
And that's because of the consequences for them of not adhering to state lines. They didn't even let me use a rooted phone despite actually being in a legal state, because location can be spoofed on a rooted phone. And I haven't seen anyone yet figure out how to bypass that detection.

Never tried, but can you get a free or paid VPN that will change phone geo-location?
If not, use google maps and also drive down PA Ave SE and also try I-395 S to VA and see where your telco providers switches over at border.
PS...It's not degenerate if it's legal, is it?

Depends on what station you’re closest to. From there, it’s a matter of picking the line/train with the fewest stations between you and the border.
If that’s Capital South, fastest might actually be to get to L’Enfant Plaza, then take Green Line to Southern Ave station.

Idk why I’m getting down votes. I’m concerned for the well being of sub members and affluent people with sensitive hearing. I genuinely care about rich people in Georgetown

FYI to properly deal with a dog that’s latched on, you choke it out. Grab their collar and twist to stop their airway or their neck if they don’t have a collar on
