Psychological projection. When people have internal conflicts they tend to think everybody is experiencing it or doing it. So they perceive it as a large problem and obsess about it. Because they can't fathom that other people and society at large don't have those urges.

Very often people who cheat become very controlling and jealous because they project their infidelity onto their partner and can't fathom that their partner is simply uninterested in doing the same. Or super religious fundamentalists can't fathom how you can be a good person if you don't have Jesus in your heart. They can't imagine a world where other people don't have the same skeletons in their closet.

And then they start falling into attribution bias. The reason "I" have those feelings is because children are sexualized because the liberal agenda. The reason why "they" have those feelings is because they don't believe in God. And they create a framework that works for them and reconciles their dissonance. So then anybody who is a liberal and doesn't pray everyday is a pedophile.

Docs I felt super confident in. We ended up not being able to get our cat in with the doc we initially consulted with because my schedule conflicted with hers, but I was happy with who we got instead. He called before/after procedure to consult on a couple of things as well.

Can't really speak to facilities. As of last July, when we went, they were still only doing car pick up/drop off. It's right off of route 100, so a little noisy from the outside, but it's a part of a modern-looking office park and in a nice area.

I've got an old cat, and they did pre-surgical bloodwork on her and went over some risk factors.

Good luck to puppers! I've got a 13 yo dog, too, so totally get the fear.

They want to create a spectacle and a headache for the venue and the community in hopes of stopping events like this. It's already happening in Florida and South Carolina.

Negotiation with terrorists is a bad policy and encourages them to continue their bullying even if it happens to make them stop in the near term.

Your clothes won't get too wrinkled in a bag on a mile walk. I bike and have my dress pants and shirt (and socks and undershirt) in my bike bag. I change into them at work and they look fine. Helps to have wool or non-iron material.

I keep my suit jackets and dress shoes and belt at work to reduce my bag load.

I don't know if you're open to them at all, but we used Animal Dental in Columbia last summer for our cat and had a positive experience. They weren't quite as expensive as I was expecting, but anything animal dental is pricy. I appreciated how good they were with going over all options, procedures, and following up. Bonus points to them for providing awkward cat-mouth under anesthesia pictures that I really didn't need but gave me a laugh.

Agreed. Neatly folded clothes in a gym bag that are immediately hung up when you get to the gym should not wrinkle. Unless OP is particular bothered by the smallest of imperfections, I don’t see how this is an issue.

But as others have said, a travel steamer could help get out those small imperfections.

I cannot say enough good things about the dentist at Friendship, Ray Phillip. Two of our cats have had dental surgery there and they've been great. They also have a really good anesthesiologist, which is important.

They may be booked up but are really good about letting you know if they get an opening (e.g., one cat ended up getting surgery a month earlier than his appointment because they called to let us know they had a cancellation).

I’ve had this same predicament compounded by just hilarious levels of sweatiness. Buy wrinkle-free, sweat wicking clothing. State & Liberty, Mizzen and Main, Rhône, Lululemon. I am fully on Team Never-Cotton

I love Pentagon City, I'd go there a lot in my GW days a decade ago or so. Unfortunately with online shopping cutting down on mall patronage in general I feel like Tysons might fatally undercut Pentagon City.
