Take her to eat at the Native American museum! And busboys and poets so she can feel cool.

Yeah I wish more grocery stores sold in bulk. Lots cheaper and more environmentally friendly imo.

That's OK I have a car. Are they fun to go to? I know nothing about Indian cuisine.

And you think we should harshly punish them? If you’re going to school in Capitol Hill you can afford to handover whatever’s on you to a minority in this city. If you Gentrifiers don’t like it then GTFO or vote for someone else. These council members are elected. You gentrifiers don’t belong.

I have pretty much fully transitioned to Badia. Just more economical regardless of the format.
Been long time since I’ve bought them from a bulk section, but honestly I should reconsider.

Hit the nearest Indian store. Unfortunately most of them are in suburbs and not metro accessible. There is Dana Bazaar near White Flint metro station. Once you get off, it’s a 13 minute walk. Bonus- across from Mom’s Organic.

If she’s a reader definitely check out the MLK Library. Even if she’s not it’s a good place to go sit and take a break for a bit and the cafe has good food that’s a little cheaper than most other places around.

High tea! Lots of options at hotels and tea houses around the city.

This is awesome, thank you all!!! This has been an annual thing in our neighborhood in Alexandria, usually Saturday morning, with donuts and coffee

And at least a few weeks ago the renovations weren’t complete so only part of the building was open. Still impressive if one hasn’t been at all.

Highly recommend the Takoma Park Silver Spring Food Co-op. They have an excellent bulk section that includes many spices!

Air and space is open but you do have to reserve admission. I believe admissions open twice a day.

We recently did the new Museum of Illusion. There's a fee and it's smaller than expected but still was fun.
