As a married guy who is literally twice your age hearing people say it’s an age thing really blows my mind. Could it be a function of the age of the people who use the app?

It's sublet from the law firm in most of the building

Just got some takeout from there after seeing this thread. The Jollof rice with shrimp is super tasty. I'm definitely going back to try more things off the menu. Thanks!

This all the way. Trinidad at night is rough. If you want similar prices but way safer, go south of h street and west of 15th st or go to eckington (side closest to bloomingdale).

The way the apps work is you get the most attention (because your profile is shown more to others) immediately after joining it. So if your first few days (really first 24 hours) is underwhelming… well buckle up.

A lot of tech companies don't advertise their smaller offices. There's history of people hanging out near them and harassing/stalking employees on their way in or out. Not sure of any specific incident w/ the Microsoft office in question, but it's talked about in a lot of the big tech companies.

“No.” Is a complete sentence. And she doesn’t need to be nice or polite to strangers who are obviously being creepy or she’s just not interested in speaking to. These are things I wish I knew sooner. Also, if she’s uncomfortable or not being left alone, trying to identify another women she can approach and ask if she can sit near them until her stop. Usually we’re aware when other women are uncomfortable. I hope this doesn’t break her spirit or her confidence!

That’s the office for the Entertainment Software Association. Here are some photos. It’s pretty cool.

There's a lot of fathers/men that wouldn't hesitate to help either. I think it sucks that this is a problem for women.

They were reported as 8 robberies yesterday. Now is 5 of them and three assaults because property wasn’t actually taken for the latter.

I'm pretty sure Microsoft has an office in this building; ZeniMax/Bethesda may have a presence there, as well.

Next time just get up and switch cars. Do the same when the groups playing music on a speaker, smoking weed and talking loud get on. Just move away. Carry pepper spray too.

You’re going to get less matches than when you were 22, but the matches you do get will be more serious.

This. But like you said, the matches she gets now at 27 will likely be more serious than those of a 22 year old.

Yeah definitely agree that one off instances of petty crime shouldn’t lead to severe punishment, but we have kids who’ve committed like 10+ armed carjackings let back free on the streets the same day they get caught. Seems like awfully low hanging fruit to stiffen enforcement.
