Death, taxes, an annual op-ed about raising DC's height limit. A bit early this year...

If you like N Arlington and you visit fam in NoVa there’s not too much to be gained moving into northwest dc unless money is no object or you really want to be in dc

Glover Park, north of Georgetown, is quiet, very walkable to Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Rockland's BBQ, etc. Lots of 1 BR condos for sale and apts for rent. Very nice.

Pentagon City & Crystal City <= both are full of new apartments and older units. Tons of construction currently with plenty of new restaurants just opening.
I know these aren’t North Arlington but this part of town is changing quickly.

Sure, but it might be difficult on OP’s salary unless they are willing to have a roommate.

Why don't you find someone and tell her your needs instead of dating everyone for insta/reddit/social attention?

Georgetown is fun but isn’t it also kind of expensive?

That feels naive to say “lower” was written to mean “lesser as a person.” I am lower than my director, I am higher than an intern. What a strange thing to pick apart?

Add MLM madam. She is one of the above and she’s a hustler.
Alas, I was just another rung on her ladder to financial independence

Great point re: atomization of media. But the parties were cool and semi-exclusive, in the sense they were ticketed events that sold out.
BYT had organizing power. The Hemerlein shows were cool, and it gave a chance for alternative acts to shine. I remember going to a lot of cool, unique showings: minor art exhibits, Indian music dance parties, food events, and more. You also saw familiar faces and it did feel like a tangible scene or moment in time.

If you like exploring restaurants/shops, I'd look at Eastern Market in Capitol Hill or Georgetown. Georgetown has the best retail in the city, plus many new restaurants have opened there recently. Just keep in mind it's not near the Metrorail and parking is terrible there.

Yes that’s what I’m primarily thinking as well…but just wanted dc options. I’ve never lived in DC proper, so wanted to potentially explore that. Made an edit with add’l info

Do you at least understand why these entities don’t just hand out specific footage to anyone who wants to track someone else?

There are actually a ton of housing vouchers available in DC. I have not spoken with homeless folks and am not exactly sure why some prefer living in a tent over getting a housing voucher. Maybe it’s an independence thing.
