The US government should be developing intelligent regulation for crypto, communicating those regulations clearly to the crypto community, and providing a transition period for crypto exchanges, brokerages, miners, and holders to come into compliance.
Instead the US government has no clear crypto regulations, no meaningful communication, and randomly enforce inapplicable non-crypto laws.
The US government always finds a way to make a difficult situation much worse. They literally screw up everything they touch.
