They get away with this shit for YEARS. A Sgt. from the Derby barracks got caught stealing from the evidence locker and they quietly moved him to the St. J barracks even though the States Attorney in Orleans County issued a Brady Letter saying she could no longer prosecute any cases he was involved with. He worked in Caledonia County for YEARS while nobody knew what had happened. He was finally fired last year for sexual harassment of female subordinates coincidentally right after a whistle blower informed the troop in St. J who their senior Sgt. was.

She had a name. She had a life no one could ever comprehend, and she was an absolutely beautiful soul. I understand the ripple effect of her last choice, but to all of us who actually KNEW her… she was more than just her last moments. She was an incredible friend, had a laugh that was unlike anyone else we had ever met. She was someone who brought joy to our lives, and someone we will never forget.

We love you swanny. Gosh, we love you.

Not sure why your getting flac. I’m in the same boat. Retired a couple of years ago and paying a new car to the state each year. The way I see it it’s a privilege to live in Vermont and the feeble make us pay. I’ve tried looking elsewhere but there’s no place like Vermont! It gets better every year.

I didn’t say that nannies aren’t childcare professionals. And I’d love to understand what exactly it is that your friend does if she’s not a nanny but doesn’t work in a center because I guess I’m just a bit confused. I have two degrees, and I know that I could make a good chunk of money “nannying and schooling” (as you said) for a family, but, to me, that’s a very different position than working in a childcare center in a classroom setting. 🙂
