Not disagreeing with any part of what your laying down. I understand and mostly agree. I do want to add YMMV though up here in Canada (at least in Alberta) pumps are required to be checked for new flow valves every 3 months, fuel levels in ground checked daily, and outflow inspection done daily as well so it should (should being the operative word) get caught real fast if there's an issue :P

OP I am sorry to hear that you have to go through this, by the sounds of things, on a regular basis. You sound like you aren't old enough to have a dollar to your name or have the capacity to fathom a life outside of your parents care. Your dad has seen more years on this planet than you have, for now you have to make sure you take care of yourself first. As he could physically harm you more.

Please know that the world is not like this at all. It can be a beautiful thing, much more than what you dad is. There is a dark side to this world as well, and I am sorry that you have to experience that horrible side for the duration of what sounds like your childhood. I am proud of you standing up for yourself and wanting to protect your mum, not many people have the courage to. But with the nature that your dad is, and your physical size in comparison, there is a time to fight, and there is a time to submit. Please keep that in mind, or else you may escalate a situation into something worse than it could've been. Although for this one, I think you handled it well. Trying to defuse the situation without needing to resort to violence. Luckily, your mum was there before your dad could make it worse.

And when you are able to afford to separate yourself from your dad, life can be so much better. There are caring people out there. I wish you the best. Good luck.

I can’t, she’s been amazing this entire time I just didn’t realize it. She’s the perfect girl, she understands me and has every characteristic of wifey material, she perfect and I actually mean it, I’ve seen messed up relationships. I don’t want to throw it away.

It sounds like you are on a bit of a journey and you have some work to do on you. You will probably have to let her go, that's a hard lesson but one you will carry with you to the next relationship you are in.

Didn't take quite as long as you, but me and my dad discovered my kitty was male after having him for some time

I had my theories that he was a boy earlier on, but my uncle said his testicles were his buttcheeks .-. And maybe something about his nipples? Me and dad got a confirmation he wasn't a girl one day upon seeing the little fuzzer get..ahem...excited And thus, Shania became Shane cx

I second dawn dish soap, particularly the power clean (I think it’s just called Dawn extra strength or something now). I’ve dyed my own hair for over 15 years, think blue, pink, green, purple. And I used to use Splat hair dye (I know better now 🤣). That stuff stains EVERYTHING!

The only way to get it off without scrubbing myself sore was to put the soap on the skin like I was putting on lotion, let it sit for 5 min, then wash it off with a washcloth. Worked like a charm!

Good luck!

And even if you don’t use the story, while you’re in high school, it’ll be gold when you’re older, especially with dating. Most of us want someone who can make us laugh. 😁

Edit: thanks to everyone who was very nice and kind and messaged me directly to try to help my situation out. I appreciate it 🫶🏻

I ended up calling the dealership a couple of times until I was connected to the manager. After a couple minutes of explaining situation to him, he was able to take off all the extra add ons I did not agree to. He was not able to remove the warranty so instead he wrote me a check for $3.6k (which is the cost of the warranty) meaning I get to keep the warranty for free and in total there is now 8k of add ons off from the loan.

Making my loan $17,000 ☺️

Screw everyone who was super mean on the comments :)
