I'm not sure this warrants an explanation? They were only half an hour away. I'd find it quite reasonable to run into family friends if I'm out and about only 30 mins away. Maybe if they went out somewhere 3 hours away it'd seem weird but the chances of running into friends of the family 30 mins away from home can be pretty high. Higher if your family is out-going and makes a lot of friends.

I dont know if this will work in this case, but have you tried the menu screen method? While in the home screen of Scarlet/Violet, press B, X and Down on the d-pad at the same time. This pulls up an emergency save that the game does in the background. Usually used after crashes. Hopefully it works for you.

OP, this is probably a good reality check to not drive under the influence. I don’t consume cannabis, but I do drink alcohol, which has similar effects on driving. If you think you’re going to be under the influence at any time when you go to hang out…bring an overnight bag. That way, you can crash on the couch and sleep it off if you’re not sure. And make sure you have a good read on your tolerance….an over abundance of caution is always a good play.

To be honest, as someone who plays a heck of a lot of games and has been single for many years..

I can't think of a single save file I wouldn't happily trade for a relationship with someone I like. Heck, take em all.
