Yeah I know the parents' reaction is understandable. They're very protective of him and rightfully so; they have cameras in the house because of the horror stories they've heard of home nurses, including a friend of theirs whose kid was abused pretty badly by one. tbh I wish a camera had been on me at the time so that this situation would've been completely clear.

I just can't get over that the dad asked me if the kid had rolled knowing full well the kid can't roll. That's what gets me. It seemed like a disingenuous question.

You're free to think that.

Having the main characters earn a Noble prize, be an astronaut, find love, and overcome their insecurities doesn't appear to be a mockery to me or many others.

Not being able to find humor in the eccentricities makes for thin skin and everything being a threat or offense.

The kid is ok, and the parents are understandably freaked out over the situation, I don't think they're trying to get you in trouble, or 'catch you out', they just want to make sure they understand everything that happened.

If you get anything from this, at least next time you'll make sure you stay close to every other patient and can campaign to install adult changing tables.

It sounds like a genuine accident, so try not to blame yourself

Fuck that, eat your happy meal and be happy and adorable, and don't let anyone tell you shit!

Also, as a fellow vegetarian, what country where you in that you can get a vegetarian happy meal??

I work at a hospital ICU with bathrooms we share with patients that all have those little alarm buttons. I was taking a piss and the button must have shorted out or something and a pair of nurses barged in thinking I was a patient in distress and saw my junk in its full glory.

It's been a month since it happened. One nurse can finally talk to me but tries not to make eye contact and the other still turns red.

Shit happens.

Happy Meals are one of the free items you can get with points on the app, so I get them all the time. I’m 31.

Now, I usually just say no to the toy lol, but you do you! I know I won’t play with it, so it’s better given to someone else. If it brings you any kind of joy, keep doing it. Who cares what others think.

Well, if part of his career has to do with working with people from his home country, it very well could be.... once you get shunned for something like this, the people he knows will not stick around for fear they will be looked at as the same, so no more contacts for his career..... you see it as an overreaction because in your life and your country, it's not so much like that..... if it was, I'm sure you'd understand better
