ELI5: Sparkling drinks bubble because there's gas (carbon dioxide) dissolved in the water, and that gas collects into a visible bubble on rough surfaces that give the bubble a spot to "cling" on to. Drinking glasses are mostly smooth except for microscopic cracks and imperfections, so the gas forms bubbles slowly. Powdered or granulated drink mix is essentially nothing but rough surfaces, millions of times more rough spots than the inside of your glass. All the fizz in your drink turns into bubbles at once, and you get a handheld volcano.

I've tried a whole range of them myself.. started off super small, but ended up with a medium sized one. I think my preference mainly comes down to finding the right fit for me. As far as firmness, I started off with ones that were described as being more "soft" but what I found, is that they have trouble snapping back, after I put them in.. so I use an extra firm one now.. seems to snap back quickly, so I'm not fussing about with the fit.

I mean, It's embarrassing but I don't think it's racist?

Given the context: that someone was unexpectedly(ish) calling you, asking you for information, and speaking with an accent you could barely understand and is infrequently heard outside of scam calls... I don't think what you did was unreasonable.

It wasn't thorough, and it was rude, but not inherently racist.

Peach life brand menstrual cups have a ring at the end that you can put your finger through and pull. I don't understand the other brands that give us that textured post.. how the hell are you supposed to grab that?

I take mine out in the shower, I put one leg on the edge of the tub, and go for it.

I also wear period panties if I'm out and about with my cup, in case something shifts and it leaks.

I understand man. I'm currently in the military, in a leadership position. If I admitted to exactly what I was going through, there's no doubt I would be on my way out. I too cannot afford to lose what I have. I'm married with 2 kids and my wife is currently in school. If I got kicked out, I'd lose everything. It's pretty shitty that being entirely transparent with a doctor can result in something like that. My advice is to not divulge everything, even though that may be slightly unethical to you. It took me 3 years of awful anxiety, depression, and insomnia until I was able to swallow some of my pride and accept that I needed to be helped. It's one of the hardest decisions I've ever made. I sat in my car for 2 hours outside the emergency room trying to work up the nerve, after coming to grips with the fact that my issues where no longer controllable. There is absolutely no shame in it. It seems to me we share some of the same characteristics. Both pretty high functioning with our issues and both in stressful positions. At the end of the day, you need to make some hard decisions. I started medication about 3 months ago. I found pretty immediate relief from my insomnia with the medications, but the rest took awhile. Recently ive found myself having the will and strength to do other things except my job. Just consider it for me, please.

Are you sure he was really watching it? More than likely he clicked on something and it was a virus that loaded it on there.

I doubt your elderly grandpa who doesn't even know how to use his phone knows how to find porn, especially in a country where it's illegal. It's really easy to accidentally download a virus that spams it onto your device if you don't know what you're doing.
