Actually, according to healthline.com, the signs of “psychopathy” are:

  1. Inability to distinguish between right and wrong

  2. Lack of empathy and remorse

  3. Behavior that conflicts with social norms

  4. Manipulating and hurting others

  5. Disregard for safety and responsibility

  6. Disregarding or violating the rights of others

  7. Tendency to lie often

  8. Recurring problems with the law

  9. Expressing anger and arrogance on a regular basis

House pretty much was and did all these things at some point/regularly on the show.

To be fair to Bosom Buddies, a theme song does not have to fit exactly into a show’s plot. For example, Woke Up This Morning has nothing to do with gangsters, it’s about a domestic abuse victim killing their husband. But the lyrics are vague enough that it fits into the show amazingly well. The other song which was considered, Elvis Costello’s Complicated Shadows, mentions gangsters in it’s lyrics, but it just wouldn’t have worked IMO.

Yeah, as others have said it really becomes the show it ends up being around episodes 5/6. The writing team is comprised of a lot of British sitcom writers so it’s kind of the same thing of how most sitcoms take a bit to find their groove.

They reshaped and expanded a lot of characters based on what the actors were bringing to them. For example, Roman is way more sadistic and cruel in the pilot than he is later in the show. He’s still a complicated person but seasons 2/3 Roman would never rip up a million dollar check in front of a Latino boy and his working class parents.

It wouldn't be the first show to unexpectedly announce the upcoming season as the final season right before it releases, claim they wrapped things up, and then have all evidence point to that being highly misleading, at the very least.

I'm really hoping that's not the case with Succession as it'd be a huge shame to have a fantastic show end like that. As others have mentioned, Jesse Armstrong has previously said this wasn't a show he wanted to go on for more than four or possibly five seasons, so it is plausible this is where he just decided to end things. I'd be lying if the whole WBD merger and the myriad of cancellations it's resulted in doesn't concern me, however.

I'll still watch it all the same and just keep my fingers crossed that we get a fantastic finale to close out the show.

yeah, that was out of left field and really softened our hardest and most ruthless character imo. They had already set up a whole romance between him and Barlow - it came across as superfluous and detracted from his clear love for gold.

However, piracy in general is a great opportunity for narratives around slavery, gender, and sexual orientation as pirates notoriously didn't give a shit so long as it earned them money.

I never really got this honestly. People keep saying “oh it’s just an endless cycle of the kids rebelling against Logan and losing” but Shiv doesn’t even try to cross Logan until the season 3 finale, and Roman also spends most of the show firmly on Logan’s side. Kendall’s the only one in a cycle, but his character’s still clearly progressing in a forward direction. His breakthrough in the season 3 finale felt like a major game-changer too, unlike anything we’d seen yet.
