I'm surprised it's doing this well, I don't recall it being that popular when part 1 released a few months ago. Would've thought the extreme depictions of bullying in the first few episodes would've put off a lot of viewers.

I only watched the first two episodes, E2 was fine but E1 has >!heavy bullying, violent torture, sexual assault, a physically violent teacher and several suicide thoughts/attempts!<
I'm definitely not a person who gets triggered easily or at all actually but I was shocked by how rough the first episode was.

Maybe that was the idea. Everyone knows that whatever the ending is for these characters, it'll be with their downfall. It feels like everyone involved that wasn't a writer or producer is feeling like the rug was pulled from under them, which may be what the finale to this whole story might be for these characters.

The Glory is all over my Netflix home page but I’ve been too nervous to watch it! Can you reply with a spoiler alert with what sort of violence it is? Trying to decide if I should just avoid altogether!

I don't think that's the case, Brittel does not know about the ending because he is sorta watching along scoring every episode 1 by 1 and is only halfway done.

did anyone think that maybe the kid just grew up and became a TV writer?

What even is the end of this show? The end could be Logan choosing a successor and them sitting in the big chair. They could get hit by a car the next episode and it all starts again.

I don’t know… I expect the Rookie to be ridiculous. Lucy gets buried alive? John gets targeted by a psychopath who wants to make him kill her so as to tarnish his wholesomeness? So many over the top story lines…

I quit watching after that lady said she got dropped on her head as a baby and the result of her being dropped on her head was that she became extremely sexual. I think that was Season 4. It's a shame, the show started out so strong.

On 1 hand this gives me pause about the ending, on the other, it’s not like this show has some sort of big ending it needs to hit
We could easily get a resolution on Logan’s succession plans, and it’s a show that could easily get a new season years down the line with a revival.

Definitely my thought as well; felt like they tried to cram 3 books’ worth of material into 8 episodes in case they got canceled, likely because they know how Netflix operates. Feels like a warning sign when your business practices are ruining even the shows you don’t cancel

Wow, that's kind of a shock. I would have thought the script would have been kinda shouting finality, like wouldn't it have been obvious to the actors? Anyway, I'm so freaking excited for this. I hope it goes out with a bang!

Started it yesterday and i gotta say episode one of The Glory was kinda hard to stomach, just a warning for sensitive folks out there, heavy trigger warning for that one.
When it comes to Shadow and Bone, I'm very disappointed. A season that's horribly paced, should've been at least 2 seasons, it just rushes from scene to scene, so everything feels kinda shallow. Wouldn't be surprised if the creators feared the "Netflix Classic".

I agree with you, but at the same time I could not look away. I think The Glory does a good job pulling you in.
