Sounds good, I’ll try to jump back into it some day. I just want to wait a little because I just read the books fairly recently and I would like to let some time pass before watching the show again. Thanks

I'm pretty sure that MLS draws flies to its streams.

Podcasts are super easy to produce (comparatively), and they all bank episodes way ahead of time to release slowly week by week, giving them plenty of time to focus on other projects. I doubt the podcast would prevent him from doing other things if he really wants to. He seems like a guy that stays busy all the time.

Possibly. I heard not to read the second one, so I didn’t. Same with the His Dark Materials series. I only read The Golden Compass (aka Northern Lights in the UK).

Good, maybe I can catch my local sports teams without needing to signup for their shitty service like I used to be able to..

When his talk show ended, TBS announced Conan Without Borders would continue as a TBS production in the future so I think the HBO show is still in development. I might be thinking of the same interview as you, but I believe there was even a more recent magazine interview he did where he, again, talked about how the HBO show is barely even conceptualized yet.
With how successful his podcast is now, I think Conan probably isn’t in any rush to get things moving for the show. The only thing pressuring him would be he did initially have Team Coco staff take a temporary pay cut while they worked on future plans, but I’m guessing he’s brought them back up to full pay already with the podcast money.

Something completely obvious to any sports fan isn't visionary. I'm shocked the NBA hadn't done it. It was on their surveys 5 years ago.

It’s filming right now, and with Discovery’s obsession with reality TV I feel like what is wrong with what they are doing with HBO will end up benefiting Conan.

The Expanse. Loved the show. Probably my favorite scifi series.
Now reading the books, currently at #4 and I love them just as much.

I really think you should give the show a chance. I’m at book 4 currently and I agree that the books are awesome.
But so is the show. I started there and now moved on to the books. It’s a great adaptation and I think season 1 just suffers from a slight lack of budget. At least when it compares to the rest of the show. And it’s a slow start. Not a lot of moving parts in plot yet.

Idk, I get the impression that he just loves podcasting and would rather be doing that after almost 30 years of the same talk show format.
I'm hoping the thing he's doing in Norway right now is just part of a standalone Conan Without Borders project, as that was one of the best parts of his show.

The boys. I have very conflicted feelings on the comic where I don’t think it’s particularly amazing but also is way over hated.
