The six seasons and a movie quote which originated on Community was about The Cape.

I think it was well acted and had heart. Maybe it was dumb but they tried to make it fun at least. Sometimes it is OK to be dumb.

Yes. That was 28 years ago. It debuted on TV in 1986, which was 37 years ago.

If you were 45 when 'Matlock' went off the air -- which strikes me as on the young side for the target demographic, which largely would have been Andy Griffith fans -- you're 74 today.

Andy Griffith fans who were 65 when the show started are over 100, if they're still alive.

Seriously, how many people in their 20s and 30s were watching 'Matlock' in the mid-90s? I sure as hell wasn't. It was considered an "old person's show" back then.

Thus, my comment about how the original core demographic may not be around anymore.

Idk, there were some ok moments, but overall it was just awkward. Thankfully it didn't get too off the rails, but it was teetering on the edge. To be fair, I haven't watched a ton of his interviews, so maybe this is how he always acts, it just stood out to me as a regular Graham Norton viewer. I agree, I get really uncomfortable when the guests get too touchy feely with people they've just met. Funnily enough, Evangeline Lilly recently did just that to Danny Dyer in a chat show, touching his ear. It's so not cool.

That whole scene lives in my head rent-free
