Just watched it this past summer and Im glad I did. Its really good show. It was a struggle to get through the first 2 seasons cause I could not find a character I liked but I was really interested in the mystery part. Two episodes in season 3 changed that for me. I don’t understand how people hate the ending. I loved it, cried like a baby. Might actually be my favorite ending to a show ever!

If you go to 2007, you have Moonlight which missed the Twilight Vampire Renaissance by like a year.

Fingers crossed they'll add John Goodman as robot Santa.

My top 3 is personally Mr Robot, BCS, and The Leftovers with it hard to pick a top contender. Each is incredibly special in its own way, so it is hard to pick one over the others. The Leftovers is what knocked the Sopranos out of my top 3 tho

I thought so too, for a split second I was heartbroken. That day will be devastating.

His channel is great! I’m a huge lost fan and watching him dive into it was a huge nostalgia blast for me.

I worked on this show! Haven’t thought about it in years. Ian McShane was a total diva in ADR sessions. I suppose he’s earned the right.

One of the side characters was listed as "a stanley tucci type"
but he sounded like he was going to stay a side character, but who knows
btw, if you want to get the chance to watch pilots and read plot outlines, I get around ~6 a year on a survey site I am on. I have a referral link to it if you want to join it - I get around $5-$15 when I do a TV show survey.

Yeah, that's fair. People have definitely had a bone to pick about the show. I wouldn't even argue against the idea that there's probably some sexist and racial animosity in the mix there, motivating some of that criticism. I just hate to see people excuse the show of all its faults because of that. It can both be a lightning rod for people's worst urges and be a terribly written mess.

Yeah, that's what the VF article seemed to indicate. The rumor I heard a long time ago was that Madden wasn't the real male lead and it was actually a German actor. I have no idea who the other person was supposed to be.

Funny to see this - I just started rewatching it after years of not seeing it (though this is not my first rewatch, probably 4th).

Okay, so i'm not gonna type out a summary of the survey - but based on what I read + what it was asking me, it sounded a lot like it was going to be Male Spy is fish out of water and Female Spy does spy stuff.

Madden was tremendous in Bodyguard. He needs a proper drama role.

I mean she’s armed with fists of fury, so he’s gotta up his game with some 12 gauge Beretta action.
