Reply to ‘I Still Don’t Know What It Was’ An oral history of Kings, the ambitious, expensive, proudly weird drama on which NBC bet its prestige future and lost. by KalamsLongknife
Everyone (rightly) talks about Ian McShane and Sebastian Stan, but Eamonn Walker, Susanna Thompson, and Dylan Baker were all fantastic too.
The scene where Samuels (Walker) tells Silas (McShane) that he has lost the kingdom is one of my favorite TV moments ever, as is the scene where Silas reveals he knows Jack (Stan) is gay. Both are in the first episode, I think.

Reply to The trope of dropping a mostly non-plot related flashback or side story episode right after a major plot point. Good or Bad? (General spoilers) by logicalnoise
if it's a streaming show releasing weekly i will honestly just wait until the next week and watch both together cause i find it a bit boring usually. I don't mind if it happens in the same episode after a major plot point but the episode after, especially the entire episode, oof.

he and James Badge Dale have the same sort of “grizzly character actor” vibe that I just don’t know how to properly explain. I’d love for those 2 to be in a movie together
