there's still hope that the books will do to the true reveal that Bran/Night King/3ER had become the same person and the heroes just elected the villain.

A million Little things. The show is incompetent but so well cast and 50% of the time they are great but the writing is insane.

Does the UK even know what they're doing? Clearly they should be swapping hosting duties between Stephen Fry and James Corden.

Same. I cant rewatch it knowing how it ends. It even spoils the books because Martin apparently thinks Bran being king is a good place to be.

This is 1) why I love Burn After Reading and 2) why some people don't think BAR is very good/funny. I'm going to think about this high-drama veneer on a dark comedy on my rewatch of The Consultant this week!

Last season of GoT basically killed off any interest in the entire universe.
I couldn't give a shit about House of Dragons because it all ends up with Catelyn's shitty kids on thrones they dont deserve.

Reply to We’re all mostly adults now, the Amazing World of Gumball would be great if season 7 and onward was more themed towards older audiences. by Random_user76
This content lives forever. Kids in the future will need to be able to watch this show to completion while they are still children. If it becomes too adult, you’re basically depriving the whole thing from any future generations who may enjoy it.
Find a different show. I know it’s hard and sad but it’s like a campsite. You gotta leave it nice and tidy for whoever comes after you.

Yeah you sum it up well, the premise of the show and style it chases leans into the absurdity and the surreal nature of the story— which seems like a lot of the audience is having trouble picking up.
Imo I think because the show is a comedy but playing itself so straight and dramatic (which arguably plays up the comedic effect of things).

The Simpsons. Its fucking iconic at this point.
That 70's Show. A group of people that have almost effortless chemistry between them, and Red and Kitty are perfectly played parents.
It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Another group of effortlessly charming people playing the WORST of humanity.
Community. Its streets ahead.
I think of a Mount Rushmore I think what shows could I watch anytime and be amused by something...simpsons gets the pass on that because with 700+ episodes there are bound to be some bad episodes.

Same for me. He's super realistic and while I still think he's an awful person, he's an incredible character. I see a lot of myself in him and it's a good motivator to change.
It's rare to find a character who is so unpleasant but still easy to connect with. I'm glad they didn't tone him down, but I hope we can watch him develop more.
