did you start the show recently? do you know all the plot points of the show? if you started it knowing the later seasons declined in quality then it's kind of like.. why are you surprised?

i'd say finish it. you're 1.5 season away at this point and then you can know you didn't miss any of the good parts of the rest of the show. it had moments.

I love this show. I have it on my internal media center (And actually have the physical DVDs so I can "prove" that I own it and I watch it every few years. It is great. I watch the series SWAT because a character in The Shield is in it.

There are a couple of other shows that I watch every couple of years. Some are corney and I watch them kind of out of tradition, and others are just really good and stand the test of time

I was curious how they were gonna make the revival work, and made note of the many times they mentioned "ten years ago" being when the original show took place (considering it was 15 years ago now). Then they hit us with Ron's "this is gonna be the best year of my life" and then the mention of COVID... damn, what a great setup.

Can't wait to see where the next five episodes go!

No, all it means is there was a long lull with no western stories and a bunch of screenwriters thought, "Maybe I can make something cool with those tropes from that show I liked when I was a kid." Hollywood has been like this for literal decades, in many genres and sub-genres. This is, by my count, the 3rd or 4th time there's been increased interest in westerns just since the 80s.
