I liked it.

Was less funny than a typical episode of the first two seasons but not going to judge off just this one episode because there was a lot of catching up and setup for the cast coming together and by the end it making sense why they're involved with Party Down catering again. The next episode should presumably be the normal formula of the original series.

The nepo baby thing is dumb cause it exists in every industry. Somewhere out there there’s a hospital director in a hospital giving unearned raises/jobs to their kin. There’s a blue collar warehouse manager doing it. There’s a McDonald’s owner doing it.

There’s nothing wrong with using connections to get the job initially, the problem is if you underperform/mess up the and the favoritism doesn’t stop. Kind of like Clint Eastwoods son who can’t act for shit.

Great points across the board. To extend your comment, I think the shift in market would also impact whether certain shows are even created. For example, Seinfeld would more likely to be "A Podcast About Nothing" than a Netflix comedy imo.

I saw the first episode and it really didn't catch my attention too much? When does it start to become more interesting?

I recently rewatched the series again. That episode gets me with an emotional gut punch every time. It was an incredibly well written episode, with lots of subtle details. >!If you pay attention throughout the episode, after a certain point Ben isn't carrying his camera and taking pictures AND none of the other characters even acknowledge Ben accept for Dr. Cox because he is still trying to process the death of his best friend.!<
